Facebook rolls out a new feature that will enable web portals to share the social network's content on their site. 'Embed Post' will make it possible for people to bring timely public posts from Facebook to the rest of the web.
However, all Facebook posts cannot be embedded, only those posts whose privacy settings are set to public can be embedded.
According to theannouncement, the feature is currently being tested with CNN, Huffington Post, Bleacher Report, PEOPLEand Mashable pages. However, Facebook promised broader availability soon.
This is the second Twitter feature copied by Facebook this year. Earlier in June, Facebook introduced hashtags, a feature that was synonymous with Twitter.
