Yamudu (Singam) review highlights
Suriya will be seen as an NCC coach in a school. A series of incidents compels Suriya to gather info about a drug deal taking place in the vicinity.
The way Suirya sets up 'Operation D' to nab international drug dealer and unearthing a dangerous criminal network was nicely shot
His electrifying performance will be something to look forward to the film
Action episodes have been well executed, and Suriya has come up with some cheeky dance moves
Director Hari's maintains the film's tempo with his crisp narration, punch dialogues and witty one liners from Santhanam and Vivek in the first half
His interesting screenplay, racy narration and well choreographed action sequences makes a visual treat
The interval bang, which will be one of the best parts of the film, was superbly shot
Cinematography by Priyan is commendable and his work of using chopper cameras at various scenes needs a special mention
However, the lengthy screenplay, not-so-great climax and routine stuff in the second half could be drawback
While Singam (Yamudu) has a powerful villain in Prakash Raj, Singam 2 lacks a powerful antagonist
Anushka fits the bill only as a glam doll and has been used just for the songs. In fact, Hansika has a better role than the main heroine
Devi Sri Prasad's music is quite ordinary and his background score isn't great too
The film has some hard hitting dialogues to get the required masala flavour and keeps you glued
Yamudu will entertain in bits and pieces but given Hari's credentials, it could have been better
